Meet Your Designers

I’ve been a small business owner since 2010. I started my business from absolutely nothing. Marketing during that time was challenging because we were on the cusp between “old-fashioned” marketing and the brink of digital marketing.

Fortunately, I jumped on the online bandwagon way back in the day when Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing and the The Oregon Trail were cutting edge and revolutionary. I attended nerdy summer camps at William & Mary where I learned DOS, then I taught myself HTML in high school using good old-fashioned AOL, Angelfire, and dial-up internet.

I worked in the advertising department at Style Weekly during my tenure at Virginia Commonwealth University while earning my bachelor’s in mass communications with a concentration in Public Relations.

I was fortunate because all of my time on the computer, previous work experience, and education helped me dive in and market my shiny new small business.

My passion for art started around 4 years old when I received my very first Knight Rider Coloring book. Instead of coloring in between the lines, I was drawing bunnies flying airplanes in the sky. My only art teachers growing up were Disney animated movies and Marvel Comic books. I never had a true art class until I was accepted into Virginia Commonwealth University’s Art Foundation Program. At the end of my Freshman year, I applied and was accepted into the first graduating class of the Kinetic Imagery department. After graduating from VCU, I held a number of jobs ranging from Sales, Home Theater installation, and eLearning. I’m currently an Art Director for an Urgent Care company in Richmond, Va. Along with art, my passions involve home theater, technology, gaming, and home automation. I have also dabbled with woodworking and have built furniture and a few arcade machines. My goal as your web specialist is to create a beautiful, seamless, easy-to-use website. I'm a DIY-er, so I'm always going to use a website builder that I can hand over to my clients should you decide to maintain it yourself (websites do require some *light* maintenance and we do offer these services, but most folks can easily handle that part of the process, design experience or not).

I've always been passionate about helping other people. Being a small business owner changed my life and was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love helping fellow small business owners achieve the same success and freedom that I have had the pleasure of experiencing throughout most of my adult life.
